The Colosseum – Eisoptrophobia (2018)

Jonathan Harrison and Dusty Douglas have been playing music together since the late 90’s. In 2016, when Jonathan asked Dusty if he’d be interested in lending vocals to a metal album, Dusty quickly obliged. Jonathan then presented Dusty with ten outstanding instrumental tracks in which he played ALL the instruments: drums, guitars, and bass. Dusty was amazed and, inspired, spent the better part of a year perfecting vocals for the record. They are extremely proud of the final product and it boasts many styles of heavy music throughout.

Zevious – Lowlands (2018)

After forming in 2006 as a straight ahead jazz group, guitarist Mike Eber, drummer Jeff Eber, and bassist Johnny DeBlase immediately broke free of the bonds of tradition. The trio began combining progressive rock grooves, tech metal, free improv, and complex song forms to create a unique compositional style. Equally influenced by vintage progressive acts such as Magma and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, polymetric metal like Meshuggah, and the improvisational approach of Vijay Iyer and Ben Monder, Zevious is a distinctive fusion band in the burgeoning punk-jazz movement.
