FOGHAT – Live [Rock Candy Remastered & Reloaded] (2019)

Considered as one of the essential Live albums from the Rock golden era, Rock Candy Records just released their Remastered & Reloaded version of FOGHAT‘s album “Live“, including the celebrated lively take of their signature song “Slow Ride”.

The Seventies were a golden time for Rock music. It was a period where musically anything and everything was given free rein, not least the rise of a succession of landmark live albums.
Records from KISS, Humble Pie, The Allman Brothers and, especially, Peter Frampton blew the roof off sales wise, helping to elevate those acts to superstar status.

Of course, if acts were great on stage then anything should be possible and those live recordings were viewed as not only career markers but also a

TOTO – Hydra [Rock Candy remastered & reloaded] 2014

TOTO‘s debut album was one of the surprise events in the music business at the end of the seventies. It was rammed to the rafters with methodically crafted tracks, and produced two bonafide hit singles; ‘I’ll Supply The Love’ and ‘Hold The Line’.

It was these two songs that reshaped the sound of melodic rock, giving rise to the style that forever onwards became known as AOR. Certified double platinum, the future for Toto looked assured or so they thought…

When they returned with their second album “Hydra“, their fans and critics were confronted with a work that although immediately recognizable, was considerably more advanced and complex.

Instead of serving up another dish of stylistic melodic rock, they reached deep inside and committed to ela

Judas Priest – Painkiller At The Forum (Montreal 17.08.1991) (Bootleg)

The 1991 tour will be memorable for several reasons. It would turn out to be the last tour for several years as Judas Priest wouldn’t tour again until 1998 and Rob Halford not performing with the band again until 2004. Most memorable moment perhaps was the accident at the show in Toronto resulting in Rob Halford being knocked out for the duration of the opening number Hell Bent for Leather, making it so far the only time in history that this song was played as an instrumental.
Halford was seriously injured as he rode a motorcycle on stage, when he collided with a drum riser hidden behind clouds of dry ice mist. Though the show was delayed, he performed the set before going to a hospital.
