this new Japan-only release: REO SPEEDWAGON‘s “Japanese Singles Collection” pressed on Blu-SpecCD2, including all their charting singles in Japan newly remastered 2020.This compilation was put together in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of REO SPEEDWAGON as a band only planned to be released in Japan, including many 7-inch single versions of the songs, some of them very hard to find or never appeared on CD before.

As bonus track, there’s Kevin Cronin’s solo song “(Everybody’s Gotta) Face The Music”, the original recording by the vocalist as the theme song for the “Sing” (1989) movie soundtrack, written by Richard Marx.

The 3-DVD box set is actually the first official video release of the original – or by analogy with the title of the publication – Smokie’s “gold” line-up. It contains almost 8 hours of video, mostly unreleased before. The recordings were collected from original archives around the world, as well as from the band members’ own private collections. The material has been carefully studied, systematized and selected. The contents of the discs have been restored and repaired as much as possible.
