From his earliest recordings with Roxy Music at the beginning of the 1970s, Bryan Ferry has taken his place as one of the most iconic and innovative musicians and songwriters to emerge in popular music.
Ferry’s Olympia tour travelled the world in 2011, including this spectacular performance filmed on July 25 at the ancient Roman amphitheater in Lyon, France as part of the Nuits de Fourviere Festival. The show features tracks from across Ferry’s 40 year career including classic Roxy Music songs, solo hits and his renowned interpretations of other writer’s material all delivered with the style and panache that is uniquely Bryan Ferry. The Live in Lyon Blu-Ray is accompanied by a superb 40 page booklet as well.

The DVD was released in a numbered edition of 1000 copies and is only sold on the Swiss site www.deeppurple.ch.
It captures the group’s one-hour private concert organized by a Swiss bank for its employees and other invited guests on 12/18/2007.
But the show does not at all look like some kind of additional dish to the bankers chewing at the tables. This is a completely ordinary concert in a normal hall, and a rather big one, with a seated parterre and balconies. And the audience crept up as needed – on their faces there are continuous smiles, joy, jumping up from their seats and all other normal concert emotions, nothing reminds of the status of a corporate event. The group is in a good mood, the set list consists entirely of classics.
Of the funny
A brief taste into what these hardcore miscreants are capable of, The World Ends With You has as much in common with metallic side of a band like Bring Me The Horizon as it does with the punk/hardcore side of a band like Gallows.
