On the new effort, the Brits cement their well-deserved reputation as masters of an enthralling mix of blissful psychedelic folk-rock and harmonious cosmic country. Recorded at Edwyn Collins’ Clashnarrow Studios in North East Scotland, their fourth album takes new artistic heights, vocalist and guitarist Richard Olson, bassist Sam Ferman, drummer Paulie Cobra, Patrick Ralla (guitars and keyboards) and pedal steeler Joe Harvey-Whyte – together with producer Sean Read (Soulsavers, Dexys) conjure up a varied album that prefers the sound as much as the song and couldn’t be more contemporary. In addition, the band has earned an excellent live reputation over the past six years.
