Girder Records has just reissued all the first RICK CUA albums for the first time remastered. An Italian-American sporting a cool leather jacket, Cua (Koo-ah) was the bass player for The Outlaws then he went solo becoming a force to be reckoned with in the world of contemporary Christian music.
Rick Cua’s first 4 albums were and still are among the top classic AOR albums to come out of the widely successful Christian Rock scene.
“You’re My Road” is Cua’s third album, and being originally released in 1985 you know the AOR sound from the era, catchy, commercial, radio-ready but still rocking.
Including songs penned with his writing partner talented Bob Halligan Jr (Kix, Icon, KISS), and producer Dave Perkins (who also play guitar), on “You’re My Road” the guitars are given equal distribution with the keys, where there’s expressive lead vocals and harmonies.
This is the first time “You’re My Road” is being released on CD as well, another reason to get this really good album of mid-Eighties American AOR / Melodic Rock with excellent sound quality.
