Probably the best DVD from Uriah Heep to date. The Magician’s Birthday Party was recorded in London on December 7, 2001. All tickets for the concert were sold out long before the performance. Uriah Heep promised their fans a surprise. And it was really a SURPRISE!
First, Thijs Van Leer from ‘Focus’ enters the stage during the performance of “Between Two Worlds”, and a couple of songs later – the audience is in shock – Ken Hensley appears on the stage and continues the concert with Uriah Heep for the first time in 21 years ! Ken Hensley fit in perfectly with the new line-up, switching from guitar to keyboards and vocals. A little later, during the performance of “The Magician’s Birthday”, the already stunned audience is given another gift – on stage – John Lawton. This is really a concert where no one was disappointed. Superb 6 channel audio and superb video quality. This DVD is a must have for every Uriah Heep fan.
