The Lincolnshire act Overdrive were formed as way back as May 1977. In 1980 they released their own slice of legendary N.W.O.B.H.M. vinyl (on the Boring Grantham label), featuring the tracks “On the Run”, “Nightmare” and “Stonehenge”.
This single was made in only 500 copies and were sold-out almost immediately. In the book “The N.W.O.B.H.M. Encyclopedia” (I.P. In spring 1989, after Krokus’s split and a refreshing break in Malta, Storace returned to Switzerland and wrote songs for his first solo project together with guitar-player Vic Vergeat, his long time friend from the TEA days, The Blue Album. It contains a rare collection of melodic, soul influenced rock songs, and was released in 1991 by Eurostar Germany.
BLUE was re-released in 1998 by BMG Records, Switzerland under the new name Vergeat-Storace- When A Man – ! The album was produced by Robert Papst and Vic Vergeat in Münich, Germany. Robert also co-wrote the Swiss-radio-hit “You can`t Stop the Rainfall”.

GRAND ILLUSION around Anders Rydholm (guitar) and Peter Sundell (vocals) have been one of the best Swedish AOR and Melodic Rock outfits untill they called it a day some years ago. The sixth and final studio slbum “Prince Of Paupers” from 2011 is highly valued within the melodic community as one of best AOR / MR albums ever made.
