And we’re featuring it exclusively on 0dayrox.
Known globally for his time as the frontman of the legendary band Kansas and the mastermind behind the melodic rock powerhouse Mastedon, John Elefante’s impact on the music industry spans over four decades. The collection highlights his ability to blend high-octane melodic rock with profound lyrical depth, featuring tracks that have defined the AOR and Melodic Rock genres.
The 2xCD set deliver Elefante’s Multi-Decade Legacy: from his soaring vocals on Kansas hits like “Play the Game Tonight” to the progressive mastery found in his solo work and Mastedon projects. And of course, the signature “Elefante Sound”, featuring the meticulous production and “ear candy” arrangements that John and his brother Dino Elefante became famous for at Pakaderm Records.
A complete new recorded rockin’ version of the Kansas hit song ‘Chasing Shadows’ from Kansas ‘Vinyl Confessions’ with an new epic intro is one of the highlights.
There’s also essential tracks from his most recent solo efforts, including the critically acclaimed On My Way to the Sun and The Amazing Grace, and seems some of the tracks have been remixed as well.
The entire set list has been remastered for this release, a very well done work as the different recording eras flow greatly.
“John Elefante is a true architect of melodic rock,” says Greg Hays of Girder Music. “With ‘Stories’, we wanted to give fans a complete look at the man behind the music. Whether you know him from the arenas he played with Kansas or the depth of his solo records, this collection captures the heart of his storytelling.”
