Ladykiller – Champagne & Cocaine (2018)

Motors that won’t start, women that won’t stop, jobs that don’t let up, and habits that don’t let go…
But life’s still a party. With candid lyrics, roaring guitars, and punching rhythms, Austin-based Ladykiller call their unique rock n’ roll style New Wave Of Texas Heavy Metal in ode to both their classic influences and their Southern grit.

Ladykiller formed in 2015, playing shows in Austin and Central Texas and in March 2016 self-released Greatest Tits. The debut album featured the track “Travelin’ Lightly” which was included on the Classic Rock Magazine compilation “Heavy Grooves, Vol. 1” where the Ladykiller sound was described as “the best part of any road trip you’ve ever been on in your life.”
In August 2017 Ladykiller hit the road on their “Only ’17 Summer Tour”, playing gigs in Texas and surrounding states. That October, Kyle B. Bellinger (guitar/vocals), Chad Montoya (bass/vocals), and Zach “Critter” Hoop (drums) entered Red Nova Ranch recording studio to begin work on a new album with producer and engineer Jeff Henson (Duel, Eagle Claw, Clutch). They recorded four songs that fall and, after a brief period of writing and rehearsing, returned in March for another round of recording sessions, completing the album entitled Champagne & Cocaine, released online August 14th 2018 by the band’s own Rolling Thunder Records.
In July 2018, Danny Wrath became the fourth member of Ladykiller. His rhythm guitar and commanding stage presence rounds out the live version of the band, bringing a true New Wave Of Texas Heavy Metal groove!
Ladykiller has built a reputation as an exciting band with catchy tunes and an energetic live show. They’ve shared the stage with a host of bands such as fellow Lone Star state rockers Duel and Mothership and global acts including Saint Vitus and Dangerous Toys.
