RONNIE ATKINS – MAKE IT COUNT 2022 CD

Releases his second solo album almost on the day one year after the last. His fight against lung cancer meant that he worked on while the power and inspiration was there and completed the record already last summer / autumn. Has certainly served as therapy to dispel thoughts.

The new record follows in the footsteps of the previous one and consists of melodic rock with poppy overtones. He himself says that a good song is a good song no matter what genre it is to be categorized under. Liberating attitude!
He is now his own boss and doing what he feels like right now. He writes on piano and guitar and balls the songs on to Chris Laney who polishes the arrangements. Then they are recorded with a nice collection of musicians.

He is also not afraid to throw in a fire torch about how we handle our planet. Something that stirred up some emotions strangely enough because it is just pure humanity and common sense without it becoming political. Honoring that someone wants to say something with their lyrics.

Ronnie Atkins is a sign that quality music is delivered with strong melodies, regardless of whether it is his mother band Pretty Maids, Nordic Union or solo.
Nothing exceptional or innovative in any way, but just really nice music delivered with soul and heart embedded in his beautiful rock voice.

The album will be released on Friday 18/3.
