The 1980 founded combo around front man David ‘Rock’ Feinstein always stood a little in the shadow of Feinstein’s cousin Ronnie James Dio despite good releases. The New York singer and guitarist could not match his vocal brilliance, which was not necessary. Their melodic metal with clear borrowings from the seventies was part of the NWOBHM’s haze at the beginning of the 1980s and the band played gigs with Iron Maiden or Motörhead. Three meanwhile sought-after albums are now released as valuable CD reissues with bonus tracks, new liner notes and previously unreleased photos by classic rock specialist Rock Candy.

The German figurehead of Heavy Metal releases his new, much anticipated studio album “Too Mean To Die” via Nuclear Blast! Special circumstances often lead to very special albums. FICTION SYXX released their debut, “TALL DARK SECRETS”, which was released via MELODIC ROCK RECORDS and was well received worldwide in 2017. Karl says: “The diversity is still definitely there just like on the first album. But this time around to quote my dad’s boss from the 80s ‘MORE IS MORE’!”

The music on »Tundra« follows the musical direction TUNGSTEN had on »We Will Rise« but with more of everything. The listener will recognize the characteristics of TUNGSTEN but the sound is darker and from time to time more epic than before. The blend-in of catchy metal is still there.
