On March 12, 2021, the Thunder will release a new studio album via the company BMG. The first taste can be listened to below.
The new album All The Right Noice is a classic Thunder rock album, a sound that has charmed so many fans during their 30-year career. Work on the album began just one month before the first shutdown of Covid-19 and should have actually been released in September 2020.
“All songs were written and recorded before Covid-19 and the messages are very relevant in these Covid times. The first single from the album, Last One Out Turn Off The Lights can easily be interpreted as a song about the world’s downfall and anger over the ‘lockdown’, but it is really about Brexit. But you can interpret it a bit anyway, “says Luke Morley
Thunder made their album debut in 1990 with the album Backstreet Symphony and quickly became known for their strong melodies, pompous ballads and Danny Bowe’s characteristic voice left no one untouched. The band quickly climbed to the top as one of the leading melodic hard rock bands in England. With songs like Low Life In High Places, Love Walked In and Dirty Love are some of the band’s classics. Their success has a lot to do with the lifelong friendship between singer Danny Bowes and songwriter genius and guitarist Luke Morley. Their last three albums Wonder Days (2015), Rip It Up (2017) and Please Remain Seated (2019) have ended up as Top 10 on the English album list. On three occasions they have played at Sweden Rock Festival.
The envelope image on the album is an image of the sculpture Singing Ringing Tree which is also included in their video for the single song Last One Out Turn Off The Lights. The photo was taken by their old colleague Jason Joyce. The sculpture found in Burnely, Landashire captures the wind that creates a whistling sound.
